Lennar homes, great. Lennar mortgage, awful.

Was very unhappy with lack of communication from Lennar Mortgage. Would take days/week to get a response. Now that my loan has been sold to another management company. I have the mortgage reporting twice on my credit report.

We had our home built and we only had 1 package choice in options, color of carpeting, tile and floor planking. The windows, HVAC and appliances are on the low end of quality. Clean up was terrible. We spent a minimum of 20 hours scraping paint off the floor and trim.

Overall smooth, but some disappointing issues

Our home buying process started from out of state, everything went fairly smooth at the start, and when we were local were even able to switch lots. After that construction updates were few and far between, with a delay in close date, which I understand is the nature of the beast. We found it odd there wasn't technically a blue tape walk, although we used our orientation to do that with the customer service person. Once we got to closing that was smooth, however the construction manager and customer service rep for Lennar told us to compile our list of things that needed attention within the ...

I had amazing response times from sales and finance team. They made it possible for us to acquire our home. Response to fixing our issues has been quick. I have been disappointed in the quality of some small items such as heater grates and landscaping details that don't reflect our almost $900k investment. A lot of the work has been sloppy with need for repair/replacement. I will say Lennar has been super responsive in having contractors repair. I will share more in the future if our needs are not met, but so far, so good in terms of post closing issues. Hats off to Brad who quickly ...

We loved the process of buying our home and the smart home features. However some of the craftmanship and materials ie doors and cabinetry are poor or super basic The paint is already scratched off on some of the doors and the bottoms looked warped wood. We will go through the processs and hopefully the ticket system works.

We absolutely love our home and the process from choosing options all the way through to the construction meetings and home walk-throughs and closing. The process was pretty straightforward with regular check-ins and updates. Our biggest area of feedback is the warranty follow-up now that we are closed on the house. Understanding that trades and materials are delayed at this time, but need more communication and scheduling updates from the warranty team. Other than that, we love our house and the building process with Lennar.

We love the home. There were a few things that you wouldn't expect in a new home, most were fixed quickly but if Lennar did a final quality check they would have been caught and our experience would have been better. We still have two issues which haven't been fixed after 8 weeks. They are not quick fixes but are material. So slightly disappointed.

However once you’ve paid for your home, the Lennar team severely lacks in finishing anything that needs to be corrected and fixed. You get stuck on a waitlist behind other already established homes. These were items that should have been fixed BEFORE I ever moved in. 2 months later I’m still waiting for corrections.

Lennar - We were super excited to close on our home in May.

We were super excited to close on our home in May. Lennar had attempted to move our closing day up a couple of weeks, which did not work with our schedules, so we left it as it. When we went for our first walk through, we shocked at the state of the house. Things were damaged. Things were dirty. We were promised it would be taken care of and ready to go. By closing day, nothing had been finished, including missing doors. We agreed to close since we had no where else to go. We were told the work would be done. It’s been two months at the end Of July and there is still a lot that needs to be ...

Well let’s see. I have no screens no fences no motion detector only one intake for air that had to be fixed a doorbell that does not ring painting that has not been finished and two awnings that’s have not been installed. What do you think. The home buying process was great! Getting anything done after closing and moving in is where the customer service fails. Don’t be so quick to meet the “demands of building houses”so quickly and focus on a good completed product. Would you allow YOUR family to live in a house like this with so many issues that are not attended to? I’m a nurse. What if the ...

Lovely people to work with quality of materials is lacking

Lennar delivered on time and communication was exceptional. The people working for Lennar are great and were very responsive to feedback and requests. The selections of materials are limited which I understand is why they stay on budget and on time but they are not wearing well showing use after less than 6 months. The quality of the cabinets, carpet and hardwood is low. There is little insulation in the house and the house lives very noisy with significant noise transfer from room to room and floor to floor. We love our view and the layout of the house is great but we would hesitate to ...

Some of the people that we work with were amazing and sweet but there were others that weren’t too friendly. When we contact them they would seem annoyed. The home we brought was suppose to be “move in ready” by a certain date. Once we closed on the home they clearly did not finish everything in the home, it seemed quickly put together. A lot of mishaps with the home, I’m glad they have a one year warranty on the home but to find numerous things wrong with the home that weren’t fixed during the blue tape walk through was disappointing. It seemed that the workers were fixing things in the home ...

It takes one bad apple… Overall, I think Lennar is a good builder. Craftmanship/workmanship and material are least to be desired. Sales is good. Finance portion, amazing. Closing process, amazing. Warranty, so far so good (but not perfect). The foreman, I never met in person, let me just say I am glad I did not - one phone conversation is all the disrespect that I can take as home buyer.

I loved that Lennar was doing rate buy downs, it allowed us to move into our home. However, I didn't love the fact that we couldn't choose certain things about our house and that certain things weren't included and we had to do after purchasing the home. I don't particularly love our downstairs layout, I don't feel like there is enough pantry space, kitchen space, and some of the cabinets are shaped awkwardly. It also looks like the inside of the kitchen cabinets aren't really sturdy. IF you put something in the wrong way, the divider will fall. Not ideal. I feel like we could've been more ...

Few items that were not working when I moved: 1) Water heater: I lived without hot water for 10 days. Water heater has been replaced. 2) Air conditioning: One of the A/C was not working. Tech came in and replaced the parts and good now. 3) Cracked basement: Even though new construction, basement has a 7 feet cracked before I moved. 4) Water leaking: When they started sprinkle, water leaked from pipe and still leaking. means Lennar used very cheap material. 5) Siding wood already started peeling and curved. 6) Already started peeling the paint several areas. 7) 3 areas windows glass ...
