Great Experience. and I Highly recommend for new build homebuyers!

While the closing did not happen on time, and there were items that needed attention after closing. Most of the issues were cosmetic and Centex is taking care of them. I will say that I am a little disappointed at the lack of "attention to detail", but like I said earlier they are taking care of those issues.

They do there best to work with you

This process has been mostly good. We have been in the home a little.over 1 month. It has been difficult, at times, to get a response to some issues (even after moving in) because there is so much building happening at one time. Still, we love our home and am happy we built here!

Good work

We love our home and would buy from Centex again. Our biggest concerns have been regarding our walkout basement. There has been some leaking but our contractor is doing his best to get it resolved. The house is well built but it feels like some of the contractors were in a hurry and didn’t pay attention to the details. There are areas missing paint, caulk, and some cleaning detail that could’ve been better. It’s all minor except the basement. It feels like the company got overwhelmed with selling and building and I just wish they would’ve slowed down and paid better attention to a few things. Having only purchased used homes in the past, I would say I prefer the newer build because even with my list of things to fix, it’s a smaller list than an older home. ... More

We enjoyed the purchase experience with Raeleen. Ben and Logan have been very responsive in getting the home ready and taking care of any issues that have come up. I can't understand why Centex only uses flat paint on the walls. The biggest cost in painting is the labor and the price difference between flat and satin, versus the wearability and appearance, is minimal. Truly baffling decision.

there was alot of set back getting into our homes, communication was great before closing but after closing most of the communication goes unresponsive. Most time the field manager will do his best to get the issue resolve but he is only one person

It takes forever with repeated calls to get issues addressed

As a whole, our home buying and building experience was good and I feel like we got a good value on our home. Construction was quick, and the construction and sale people were responsive, kind, and very helpful. As a whole, the quality of the home is good. There are a lot of minor issues that have stemmed from poor subcontractors; i.e. plumbing fixtures loose, some even off-center, a lot of paint spots that needed another coat or touch up, issues with the flooring that could have been easily avoided, the cleaners were practically non-existent despite coming out twice (literally had to clean off dirt footprints off of a closet door). If you buy from Pulte/Centex, I would say in the end you'll likely end up with a home you love, but DEFINITELY get a pre-drywall and final general inspection if able in order to catch any issues that could be more problematic. ... I would say overall this seemed to be a good experience but certain issues definitely stand out. The home I suppose is a good build quality but there is warped drywall in certain areas and the concrete work in the garage and entryway , is terrible. The painters contacted too paint these homes did a laughable job at painting the main ceiling in the living and also upstairs. It had to be touched up multiple times. There is also paint on the stairway in one area. I would also add that for the premium price I personally would expect bbetter build quality,materials and workmanship

All new home buyers are encouraged to check on their new build, frequently, to ensure dates are met, promises are kept and things are on track to close as documented.

Overall we had a decent experience, and in the crazy housing market we were in, building a home was a much less stressful option. The salesperson was nice until we had an issue due to the interest rate increase. We worked it out with their manager who was much nicer. As far as the home itself, there is definitely some cheap workmanship and cut corners that don’t leave a great taste in our mouths. The seed and straw backyards are a joke, and nearly every home in the neighborhood has a crappy backyard. Plus, we still have issues that have yet to be repaired from closing, and have been told multiple times “we’ll have them call you”, which has not yet happened. The longer we’re in the home we’ve noticed a lopsided pony wall by the stairs, along with other little things that aren’t big deals but just feel cheap and could’ve been managed better. But, the plus side is that we have a new home in a nice area, and were able to get the square footage we wanted without paying an unreasonable price. Hopefully the warranty team satisfactorily helps with any issues that may arise over the next year and we’ll feel like it was worth it. ... More

The builder wasn’t helpful we had some scratch on kitchen he promised us to fix but he didn’t we call he didn’t answer

Still no sod, living around mud, apart continually being promised it will happen, "next week", for 2 months now. Not responsive to other small issues, got attitude instead of results.

Centex Homes makes it easy to get into a house. Our Saleswoman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The construction manager was less helpful and we had an overall sour experience towards the end of the process. We love our home - still has open issues waiting to be addressed but overall we were glad to have the home.

Everyone was very responsive BEFORE closing. But after closing it was like talking in the dark. The house has several small issues and I have noted with the building manager, but no response has been received. The quality of sod for front lawn is sub-par. The finish in many places is just done half-heartedly. I will not recommend Centex to anyone for new home building.

Home took a year to build. Contractors made mistakes during the building process. Most of the issues are fixed. Still have a few more things to be done. Building a home is always Stressful. If it weren’t for the Project Manager Blaine we would’ve walked away from this home. The sales office are bullies and rude but after speaking with the builder and him making himself available to the community has helped.

Would have been nice if the closing company worked with us better on closing dates

Dawn was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. Ben and his team have also been fabulous and they go the extra mile. They are the reason we ended up going through with this purchase. They are the heart and soul of this branch. Even though I had some water issues the water company was extremely responsive. I love my new house it is my dream house. I am thankful that they always make sure the requests are handled quickly, and if a contractor doesn't show Ben steps up and actually does it himself. He needs a raise seriously, he is superman! I give Ben & Dawn 5 stars! The lower review was due to two of the contractor's that you use, and Pulte Mortgage company that is disorganized and is not communicating with the property effectively. FYI: We do think they need to raise the 4 ft fence rule, ALL of the neighborhood thinks so too. The retention pond is too close not to have higher fences, plus dogs get out because of it. Contractors that I didn't care for: I wish that they would have used different electricians because we have had so many issues with that. I also think they should have used different painters, they did not do a very good job. I think whoever did the drywall should find another job... ... More

Jon the field manager cares a lot about his communities and is responsive on any issues you raise to him.

Home is still Incomplete a month after closing.

Still plenty of things that need to get done.
